Carlos Oliveira is experienced in entrepreneurship and innovation management and public policies for innovation. He is also the former Secretary of State for Entrepreneurship, Competitiveness and Innovation at the Portuguese Government.

In 2000 Carlos founded MobiComp, a startup in the mobile services arena, and led the company as CEO until July 2008 when he sold the company to Microsoft.

Mikael Egard is one of the co-founders of sensor technology startup Acconeer AB in Sweden and has worked together with his colleague Mats Ärlelid in the company since it was founded in 2011. 

The company was created from research at Lund University where Mikael received the PhD degree in physics in 2012.

Erik Smith, holds more than twenty years background in equipment, materials and manufacturing in the solar and semiconductor industry. For most of his professional career he has been living and working internationally, focusing on bringing enabling technologies to market. 

Erik started his business career at Ultratech (UTEK) running its Asian operations out of Tokyo.  After moving to Silicon Valley, he held numerous positions at Ultratech becoming its SVP of Sales and Marketing. Since then he has held senior executive positions at both public and private companies with a focus on operations, sales and marketing.   Erik’s recent positions have included head of Flextronics’ $400M Solar and Semi Division (Flex), CEO and founder of Alta-Energy, Inc. David Ben-Bassat, founder and VP R&D of Oryx vision, a company based in Israel that is developing LIDAR technologies for automotive systems, utilising a unique 10um sensor technology.

Between 2004-2009 he was the VP of the Corporate R&D company - Vishay, one of the largest manufactures of discrete components in the world, and managed all R&D activities of the 16 divisions in Vishay.

Victoria Vesna, Ph.D., is an Artist and Professor at the UCLA Department of Design Media Arts and Director of the Art|Sci Center at the School of the Arts (North campus) and California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) (South campus). Elizabete Pinho is the R&D Manager at TMG Automotive since 2009.

Holds a Chemical Engineering Degree from the University of Oporto in Portugal and Advanced studies at MIT on biopolymers in 2009. She Joined TMG Automotive in 1998 as Project manager working with Volvo; Opel; Daimler; BMW; Toyota amongst others and also launched first the IMG TPO foil used in Astra 2001 model in Europe with Opel, JCI and Frimo.
